The Gary M. Smith Foundation, Inc. is a privately operated Not-For-Profit 501 © (3) Charitable Organization as recognized by the Internal Revenue Service and was established in 1990 by the Gary M. Smith Family as a tribute to Gary after his sudden passing in April of that same year.  Gary was a loving husband, father of two, and grandfather of four, who had the wonderful gift of making people smile wherever he went.  He was also a very loyal friend who thoroughly enjoyed the company of people and had countless friends and acquaintances throughout the country.  The Gary M. Smith Foundation affords the Smith Family the opportunity to positively impact others in need in Gary’s name so that his legacy and memory will live on.  The Gary M. Smith Foundation crest and motto personifies Gary and our mission.  SCHOLARSHIP, SPORTSMANSHIP, FRIENDSHIP.

Recent Thanks - Thanks to people like you, The Gary M. Smith Foundation can continue to support Camp Care and Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. The Nineteenth Annual Gary M. Smith Foundation Golf Tournament and Silent Auction was held on Saturday, October 3, 2009 at the Ballantyne Resort Golf Club. The tournament and Silent Auction raised $6,500.00 this year; $5,000.00 was donated to Camp Care and $1,500.00 went to JDRF! That brings our 2009 donations to $7,500.00 towards Camp Care and $4,000.00 to JDRF!!
